What is a Single Cell 18650 Battery Holder?

A single cell 18650 battery holder is a small plastic case that holds one 18650 lithium-ion rechargeable battery and gives you two ready-to-use wires — red for positive (+) and black for negative (−). Instead of soldering wires directly onto a battery (which is unsafe), you simply slide the cell into the holder and connect the two wires to your circuit. How to Use It

Using the holder is very easy:

1. Take one fully charged 18650 lithium-ion cell.
2. Slide it into the holder, matching the + and − marks printed inside the holder with the ends of the cell.
3. Connect the red wire to the positive side of your circuit and the black wire to the negative side. The red wire is positive and the black wire is negative.
4. That is all. Your circuit is now powered by the 18650 cell.

Tip: Always check that the cell is the right way round before you switch your circuit on. If your project stops working, the first thing to check is whether the cell is seated properly in the holder.
